Himalayan Products was born from the vision of Chris Zandee in 2007, a Dutch farmer’s son who journeyed to Kashmir to blend European cheesemaking traditions with Himalayan purity. Alongside his wife Kamala, they built more than a food company — they created a social enterprise rooted in sustainability and fairness.

By empowering Gujjar herders and Kashmiri farmers, and by giving women artisans a voice and livelihood, they transformed local heritage into global gourmet. Every wheel of cheese, every jar of honey, and every batch of jam carries their mission: to nourish people while uplifting communities.

We blend Swiss, Dutch, and other Western cheesemaking techniques with the purity of Himalayan milk, naturally ripened without chemicals or artificial coloring. From aged Gouda infused with spices to bold Gruyère, distinctive Frisian Clove Gouda, and heritage Kalari, each wheel embodies the richness of Himalayan milk and the craftsmanship of our team.

Our jams and honey are prepared with the same care — seasonal fresh fruits, wildflower nectar harvested from lush forests, and recipes that preserve both flavor and wellness.
