Frequently asked questions
Which locations do you deliver to?
We deliver to all locations across India with Pan‑India coverage, ensuring your order reaches you wherever you are. At the moment, we do not ship internationally — please contact us directly for any enquiries or special arrangements.
What are the delivery charges for my order?
For delivery anywhere in India, shipping is free when your order’s net weight is 1 kg or more. A small packing fee of ₹110 will still apply. For orders below 1 kg, a combined shipping and packing fee of ₹410 is charged. We encourage you to meet the 1 kg minimum to enjoy the free shipping benefit
Why do you require a minimum order for free delivery?
We set a minimum order to ensure your products, especially our artisan cheeses, are delivered at the right temperature. Larger orders help maintain consistent cooling during transit, so your cheese arrives fresh and in perfect condition. This way, you enjoy the best quality and flavor every time.
What is the delivery time for orders across India?
Delivery to most major cities in India takes about 3-5 business days. For pin codes located farther from major airports, delivery may take longer.
Is your cheese vegetarian?
Yes, all our cheeses are 100% vegetarian. We use microbial rennet instead of animal rennet, making Himalayan Cheese suitable for vegetarians while preserving authentic flavor and texture.
Do you use animal rennet?
No, we never use animal rennet in our cheeses. All Himalayan Cheese varieties are made with microbial rennet, which is vegetarian and permitted under Indian food regulations. This ensures our products are 100% vegetarian while maintaining authentic flavor and texture.
How do I store artisan cheese to keep it fresh?
Keep our products at the recommended temperature as mentioned on the product label.
Gouda and Cheddar Cheese: When taking the cheese out of the plastic packaging, handle the cheese primarily on the outside edges to help prevent mould growth. To store the remaining cheese back in the fridge, place the cheese in a plastic container with a very small gap (non air tight) back in the fridge. In case of any local mould growth through exposure, simply remove the mould with a knife. Also be sure to keep the cheese dry in the container.
Kalari: After opening the package use a sharp knife to separate the required number of frozen kalari pieces. There is thin butter paper between each piece to help easily separate the pieces. The remaining pieces can be placed back in a sealed bag/container in the freezer. Defrosted kalari can be kept in a fridge for 3-5 days in a container.
Is your jam natural and free from preservatives/artificial additives?
All our jams are crafted from fruits that are carefully hand‑picked and thoroughly cleaned before processing, ensuring the natural vitamins and authentic character of the fruit are retained. We use sugar only in moderation, as a natural preservative, instead of artificial additives such as sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, or sulphur dioxide. We do not use sugar substitutes — our jams are free from artificial sweeteners like aspartame, sucralose, or saccharin. Since there is no clear research showing health benefits of sugar substitutes, we believe in balance: enjoying natural sugars in moderation as part of a varied, wholesome diet.
Is your honey pure and free from additives?
Yes. Our honey is raw and never heat‑treated. It is sourced directly from Kashmir’s farmers who follow traditional, local beekeeping practices — ensuring that colonies are not migrated, which can be harmful to the bees. The bees are never fed sugar; they sustain themselves naturally on the nectar they collect, and we harvest only the excess honey they produce. Our honey contains no added sugar, syrups, or artificial preservatives, preserving its pure and authentic character.
Why do the color and thickness of your honey vary from one bottle to another?
The color and thickness of honey naturally vary depending on the flowers and plants the bees visit, the season of harvest, and the climate. Lighter honeys often come from blossoms like acacia, while darker honeys may be from wildflowers or mustard. Thickness also differs — some batches are more fluid, while others are denser — reflecting natural variations in nectar composition and moisture levels. We never mix batches, so each jar retains its authentic character, ensuring our honey is raw, natural, and never artificially standardized. Every bottle captures the unique essence of the Kashmir landscape.
Why does your honey crystallize? Is it spoiled?
Crystallization is a natural property of pure, raw honey and does not mean it is spoiled. Over time, the natural sugars in honey (mainly glucose) separate from water and form tiny crystals. This process is influenced by the floral source, temperature, and storage conditions. In fact, crystallization is a sign of authenticity — proof that our honey is raw, unprocessed, and free from additives. To return crystallized honey to liquid form, simply place the jar in warm water. The taste, purity, and health benefits remain completely intact.
What are the benefits of consuming natural honey?
Natural honey is valued for its rich nutritional and wellness properties. It contains enzymes, antioxidants, and trace minerals that support immunity, aid digestion, and provide a natural source of energy. Traditionally, honey has been used to soothe sore throats, boost metabolism, and promote overall wellness. Unlike processed sweeteners, raw honey retains its authentic character and natural goodness, making it a healthier choice when enjoyed in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
